A Paediatric Dietitian works closely with children and families to help build healthy, balanced relationships with food to support both growth and wellbeing. We assess, monitor and support children with feeding concerns, growth delays, food allergies, chronic conditions and more.

Imogen Barrett is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian with a strong  passion for working with children and families. She is dedicated to helping clients build healthy, balanced relationships with food that support both growth and wellbeing.

 

Imogen graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) from the University of Wollongong, and combines her academic background with a compassionate, practical approach to nutrition. She empowers families with realistic, evidence-based strategies to support healthy eating habits at home and beyond.

Dietetic Services

Dietetic Services can be provided in-person at our clinic (currently located within Coral Tree Drive Family Medical Practice), via telehealth, or in the comfort of your own home!

Initial Consultations (1 hour, $180)
  • Assess your child’s growth, nutrition and eating patterns

  • Identify any nutritional gaps or feeding challenges

  • Develop tailored goals to support your child’s unique needs

  • Provide practical strategies to support healthy growing and eating

Follow-up Consultations (45mins, $140)
  • Review and monitor your child’s progress

  • Adjust nutrition goals and strategies as your child’s needs change

  • Provide continued support and guidance for long-term success

Shopping, Cooking and Education Sessions

Are you interested in one-on-one support for your child? Do you want your child to gain independence when it comes to their nutrition and mealtimes?

  • Guided supermarket visit with your child to provide education on selecting appropriate ingredients

  • Education on building a balanced meals and understanding basic nutrition principles

  • Allows for food exposure - letting kids use their senses to play and be exposed to new foods and textures

  • Learn kitchen basics - safe knife skills, practice safe and fun cooking steps to enhance independence

  • Develop a positive attitude towards food
