Marissa West - Senior Occupational Therapist

Marissa is a passionate Occupational Therapist with over 7 years experience working with children, teens and young adults. She is deeply committed to providing holistic, client- and family-centred interventions that honour each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. She takes a neuroaffirming approach to therapy, valuing neurodiversity and focusing on building capacity, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. Marissa believes that strong, collaborative relationships with children and families are the foundation of effective therapy and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where children can thrive.
Marissa’s areas of passion include supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Delays and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory integration differences, executive functioning challenges, and building confidence in self-care skills such as toileting and dressing. She also has a keen interest in infants and has done further training that allow her to support the whole family unit flourish from birth onwards.
Marissa will consult Mondays – Wednesdays from April 2026, and offers sessions in-clinic, at your home, in the community (including preschool or school settings), and via telehealth.
Occupational Therapy Services
Occupational therapy is available in clinic (42 Rawson Street, Epping NSW 2121), in your home, daycare, or school, or via telehealth.
All sessions are billed at an hourly rate of $193.99, with a free 15-minute discovery call prior to commencing therapy available to help you decide if we're the right fit
Please note sessions may have follow-up admin time scheduled afterwards which may be factored into the cost of the appointment.
Initial consultations
Parent Consultation (45 minutes)

Dedicated parent discussion ideally without your child present

The goal is to take a thorough history and understand your concerns, priorities, and what you're hoping to achieve.

This can be held in clinic or via Telehealth.
Child's First Session (45 minutes)

Your child then has their own initial session, which can be scheduled on the same day or a separate day to the parent discussion, depending on what works best for your family.
Standardised Assessments (if recommended)

Following the initial appointments, formal assessments may be recommended based on what emerges from early conversations and observations.
Goal Discussion (30 minutes)

Before therapy begins, we schedule a dedicated goal-setting conversation with parents to ensure everyone is working toward the same outcomes.

Follow up consultations

Regular sessions run for 45 to 60 minutes.

The specific session length will be discussed and agreed upon during your initial parent consultation.
