We are pleased to announce we will be introducing a school readiness program this term, ‘Ready, Set, School’, which will begin on August 22nd, 2026. 

 

Sessions will run for 1 hour a week, for 10 weeks on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm, focusing on skills such as:

• School Readiness

• Communication Skills

• Social skills

• Routines

• Self-advocacy

• Following Instructions

• Encouraging Independence

 

These are all skills that are required for a successful transition to school.

We anticipate this program will be highly beneficial for children who are starting school next year.

 

The sessions will be planned by our Occupational Therapist (Marissa West) and Speech Pathologist (Denise Chan from Beacon Allied Health), however the weekly sessions will be run by our Allied Health Assistants.

 

The quote for this group for six participants across 10 weeks is $950 total, which may be subject to change. This can be claimed on your NDIS plan, or for Private participants you may be able to claim part of this amount with your private health insurance. As this group is only run once a week, we will not offer makeups if your child is unable to attend.

Your child will receive a weekly summary of their participation which will be emailed to parents after each session, and a certificate upon completion of the program.
